Mill Lane Barn was originally a steel frame building used for agricultural storage. Abbey Design secured Class Q approval for conversion to a residential dwelling. Subsequently Abbey Design further secured planning permission for a replacement dwelling with the assistance of Rebus Planning. It is their understanding that this is one of the very first times this has successfully been achieved. This has resulted in a more appropriate looking Kentish vernacular building that sits comfortably within its rural surroundings. The finished 5 bedroom luxury home was sold off-plan prior to the developer client completing the build.
